Project Description:

Breakthrough begins as the story of a few high school students who attend the most prominent performing arts school in Geogia, Carnegie High. Every year the students are pitted against each other for the chance to win a record deal with Fortitude, the top music label in Los Angeles. The only way to do that is for one of them to win the “BreakThrough” competition at the end of the year. This year Carnegie High has opened the competition
up for kids that attend other schools. The story follows the competition as tension rises between the competing students and the drama increases as new talent emerges from Grayson High. This is a musical drama where the students not only compete against one another, but have to deal with the tough realities of being a high school student. We watch as they find strength, acceptance, and ultimately their voice. New bonds are created, friends are lost and opportunities are missed. Nobody said the BreakThrough would be easy.
