Carmelle Claude was born in Newark, NJ to Haitian immigrant parents. After her parents split, her and one of her sisters went to live with their mom in Miami, FL where she attended Lakeview Elementary. The first time she stepped on stage she was a talking tree in her elementary school play. From that moment she realized how much she enjoyed being onstage as a different character than herself. As years passed she moved back to New Jersey to live with her dad's side of the family. While in NJ, she was able to perform in a few more plays. She had multiple lead roles in Orange High school's rendition of To Be Young, Gifted and Black by Lorraine Hansberry while she was only in Junior High School. She moved from Orange, NJ to West Orange, NJ after her freshman year. She performed as an extra in West Orange High School's rendition of To Kill A Mocking Bird by Harper Lee and she was able to take Drama classes at that same school. She was also able to perform some roles in her church's plays in skit. In Mary Mary, Quite Contrary she played the lead role of "Mary" and in the skit Sarah, I kin Read she was able to portray the role of "Sarah".
