Robin Attaway, originally from Virginia, has studied piano, voice and acting with a BFA in Acting from Virginia Commonwealth University (1973).
Robin taught private piano for 13 years while her 2 children were in school. She conducted a summer music camp for a week which culminated with her directing a children’s musical, “Daniel, Darius and De Lion” at a church in Plano, TX.
In 1996 she decided it was time to transition from teaching private piano to pursuing acting opportunities. The following year she performed in “Nunsense”, “Inherit the Wind”, “The Music Man”, “The Sound of Music” and “Most Happy Fella”. Robin refreshed her tap dancing skills returning to classes until 2012. After taking a commercial class and an improv class at the then KD Studio, she joined S.T.A.G.E. where she studied acting with Gail Cronauer and Jeanne Everton. She has performed at many DFW theatres including Rockwall Community Playhouse, Irving Community Theatre, Stage West, Garland Civic Theatre, Flower Mound Performing Arts Theatre, Lyric Stage, Rover Drama Werks, Denton Light Opera Company (now called Music Theatre of Denton) and Denton Community Theatre.
Robin’s on-camera pursuits have been off and on through those years and have recently gained momentum. She was the mother of two ninjas in “Irish American Ninja” with credit on IMDb, a local cable commercial, several industrials as well as a print job. She has taken workshops and classes and has studied the Meisner Technique with Terry Martin and currently is studying on-camera acting with Cathryn Hartt.
