Before I was a member of The World Famous Harlem Gospel Choir, I received my Bachelor of Science Degree from Pace University in Criminal Justice with a minor in Law and Philosophy in 2000. I was law school bound and realized that it was not the right path for me. I realized that I wanted to do nothing more than to be on a stage or in front of a camera singing and acting. It’s what gives me joy, as well as a sense of accomplishment. I remembered that scene in Sister Act II with Whoopi Goldberg and Lauryn Hill; Whoopi’s character tells Lauryn’s character that if she wakes up every morning and all she can think about is singing then that is what you are suppose to be, a singer. Those are words that changed my thought process and now my life. I worked as a Domestic Violence Counselor for three years not knowing what road to take to fulfill my dreams. Then the Lord saw fit for me to meet Mr. Allen Bailey, Founder and Director of the “World Famous Harlem Gospel Choir”. Through the Harlem Gospel Choir, all those that I have worked with, and my experiences around the world and back again, I am now prepared to go to the next level. I feel prepared, confident and ready to fulfill my dreams. I am a living testimony that if you delight in the Lord He will give you the desires of your heart. I have stepped performed on every continent except Africa and Antarctica. I have performed with celebrities such as Fantasia and Andre Rieu and performed for ambassadors and other government dignitaries of the various countries I have been visited.
This is just my beginning. I know the Lord has GREAT things in store for me and I am excited as I watch them unfold before me.
