Tanner has been acting since the age of 5, been doing art (comic style) since the age of 7, and playing guitar since the age of 15. Tanner was always interested in the media. He found solace in writing and drawing comics during junior high and high school with his best friend, and sharing copies with other interested people. He did as many plays as he could - when he could and always did his best to give each of his characters a unique tone.
Tanner moved from Vermont to California in the fall of 2006, to pursue acting in a more encouraging environment. He is new to the business side of it but not the passionate side. .
