Renee Joi
Young and Gifted Phenomenal Songwriter and Singer
Renee Joi presents style and grace she started singing as a early as five years old and began writing her own songs at the early age of seven and a half years old. She wrote and recorded her first single at the age of eleven, the song is A Childs Cry which has been acknowledged by President George W. Bush.
Renee Joi has participated in numerous talent shows winning either first or second place. She has also traveled to many places such as the Grand Ole Opry, Las Vegas, Saint Louis, and many more. She has also participated in the 2004 Bobby Jones Gospel retreat, the Ebony Fashion Picnic in August 2005,the Atlanta Gospel Choice Awards/Chosen 10 Awards in September 2005, and the Arts & Entertainment Center, where she performed at the pre-show for B.E.T Gospel comedian Lester Barrie.
She has attended the San Diego School of Creative and Performing Arts for two and a half years, singing in the second highest choir Advance Women’s Ensemble at the age of twelve. Renee began home schooling in the eighth grade where she is able to focus on her individual projects, and she maintains to get A’s and B’s in her academics. Renee Joi is currently a Junior and honor list student. She also studies acting at Gary Spatz “The Playground”.
She continues to perfect her craft taking on power house songs such as Minnie Ripertons Lovin You. In addition, she continues be a positive role model to young people in and out of the church. She’s been in church her whole life, and is a pleasure to be around, and has a sprit of excellence.
