My name is Carly Ann Harding and I am 15 years old.
I choose to act as I enjoy escaping from me. To be somebody who is not me, even for a second, is wonderful. Creating characters is one of the best parts of acting for me. And then becoming them.
I am currently taking my GCSE in Performing Arts (Acting, dancing, singing etc.) a year early. I have done several performances to audiences as part of my coursework and am due to complete the 2 year GCSE course in March 2008 (next month).
Aside from the GCSE I have also attended many drama clubs and put on performances with them. I hope to join a new drama club soon to continue with my acting.
Of all the many different types of characters I have played, my favourite kind would be the misunderstood, hurt, victimised, angry or/and confused kind. I like to imagine the kind of past these characters may have had and how this may affect the way they are and how they act.
I have also been playing guitar for around about 2 years now and that is the main musical instrument I play. However, I do sometimes also sing.
