About me
Tucson, Arizona, United States
My name is Michael Carli and am a 20 year old Junior at the University of Arizona in Tucson, AZ. I was born in Newport Beach, CA, then moved to Whittier, CA with my parents where I lived for 8 years. From there, my family and I moved to Phoenix, AZ because of my dad's new job.
Throughout my life I have learned valuable lessons about who I am as a person and life itself. As a person, I am: trustworthy, funny, loving, caring, kind, sensitive, patient, perserverent, polite, athletic, independent, and professional. I have learned throughout my life that life can be taken very quickly. I learned this lesson through the "almost death" of my sister from Aplastic Anemia and when I donated my bone marrow to her, to ensure her life. Furthermore, I learned through various volunteer experiences in high school, Boy Scouts of America (where I became an Eagle Scout), and volunteering at the University Medical Center in Tucson, AZ, that sometimes it is much better to give rather than receive.
In high school, I was accepted into Brophy College Preparatory in Phoenix, which is a private Catholic high school in Central Phoenix. At Brophy, they taught me how to be a "Man for Others" and essentially molded me into the person who I am today (besides my parents of course!). At Brophy, I served on Student Council where I was the sportscaster on my schools weekly school news report, which was aired on the schools website. I was also a Captain of my 2005 State Championship football team. I received the Distinguished Student Award, which only 16 of the graduating Senior Class of 300 attain (my award can be viewed here: http://www.brophyprep.org/act/dist-spring06/carli.html ).
After high school, I attend (and still presently do) the University of Arizona. At the UofA, I was the President of Freshman Class Council, which is an organization within the student government known as the Associated Students of the University of Arizona (ASUA). I also volunteer, as aforementioned, at the University Medical Center in Tucson, AZ.
I have always wanted to become an actor, much to the support of my friends and family who have always urged me to try it. I feel that my personality, training and sense of humor can mold well with films, improv scenes, and many other various facets of the film industry. I am willing to be patient and work on various small projects, whether it's being an extra in a major film, or working in other small films.
Thanks for taking the time to look at me!
