Mike Fass (Drummer Bear) is an accomplished veteran musician, composer,
arranger, actor, model and producer.
As an entertainer in general, Mike is thoroughly multimedia. You'll find him
just about everywhere; records, radio, concert halls, nightclubs, auditoriums,
festivals, Off-Broadway, print media, television and movies. He's even done
cartoon voices. As a prominent figure in the bear community as well as on the
bear music scene, Mike is easily the world's most famous bear drummer.
This year alone he did another promo for ABC-TV, this time for "American
Inventor", portrayed the gruff but lovable biker Brian in the award-winning
film, "Real Magic", appeared on drums at Jamsravaganza, played the role of Lee,
father of main character Mark, in the forthcoming film, "Losing Taylor",
performed live with award-winning rocker Robert Urban at the 2006 OutMusic
Awards in New York City, marched as Drummer Bear in this year's NYC Gay Pride
Parade, making a surprise appearance on "The Robin Byrd Show" along the way,
appeared in The Long Islander, will be appearing in this month's issue of A
Bear's Life magazine and just wrapped shooting of an episode of "Sensing
Murder" where he plays a brutally violent and sadistic biker murder suspect.
That episode will air on The Discovery Channel this fall.
His age range is between 35 and 55 and he does a variety of accents including
Brooklynese, southern redneck, British cockney, proper British, French, Russian
and California valley guy.
We know he gets typecast playing a rogues gallery of bad guys but he's got
real range and can handle a wide variety of roles.
Mike has, of course, an extensive background in comedy.
As Drummer Bear, naturally, he's one of the most internationally recognized bear
models on the web, making many public and promotional appearances as Drummer
Bear.
