Araba Essien is a passionate singer-songwriter, painter (artist), poet and actress who has currently been cast in the gospel play "Thang's Ain't What It Seems" playing "PAULA" with Serenity Productions. Araba has also been in part of the cast of "Tambourines to Glory" and "School House Rock Live, Jr.". Araba was born in Ghana, West Africa and began singing and dancing as a child. After moving to America she learned of her love of performing and began performing to audiences around the Tri-state area. She has also lent her voice to recording projects and artist showcases/talent shows. She received her training through Brooke Bundy, Sheryl Baker Fisher, Kevin Stapleton, Valerie Sieracki Pineda and Meredith Rung.
