A native of Santa Fe New Mexico, Teissia Treynet began her career at age six when she starred in her first grade production of Jumping Mouse. Since then she’s gone on to study acting at Santa Fe Performing Arts, Idyllwild Arts Academy in California and most recently The Theater School at DePaul University in Chicago where she obtained her BFA in acting. Teissia’s film credits include performances in Whirlwind (directed by Melissa Marlette, screened at the 2007 Cannes Film Festival), Mass Romantic (directed by Richard Paro), A Boy and His Girl (directed by Andrew Stasiulis), Just to See (directed by Sarah McGing), Sins of the Father (directed by Tony Nawrocki) and Tag (directed by Justin Smith Shelton, currently in post production). She has performed in over 30 plays including The Glory of Living (Lisa), Othello (Desdemona), Macbeth (Lady Macbeth), A Piece of My Heart (Mary Joe), The Three Penny Opera (Jenny Diver), Kiss Me Kate, (Bianca/Lois), Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat (Narrator) and the U.S. premier of Rooms (Elizabeth). Presently, Teissia resides in Hollywood, California and is currently filming The Road to Sundance (directed by Susan de Rende).
