I am a homegrown Georgia boy, born and raised in the red dirt of South Georgia. Although it has taken me 44 years to realize it, I was destined for the entertainment industry. I remember singing to Disney tunes and acting out movies in the front yard of our home in Putney, GA. I was formally introduced to the arts while attending Americus High School in Americus, GA. During my four years there, I participated in theatre, chorus, band and debate, and performed in several productions presented by the community theatre. In college I majored in music education and left the performing bug behind to pursue teaching. With a B.S. in Music Education in hand, I began teaching public school music, and eventually ended up as a faculty member at a Liberal Arts University in Middle Georgia where I taught courses in music, music education, voice and music directed the musicals. In 2005 I earned a Ph.D. in Music, and it was while in graduate school that I rediscovered my love of the theatre. I began performing again, and soon began to win lead roles in both university and community productions. I then ventured into professional theatre at the Atlanta Lyric Theatre, and in 2006 starred in my first commercial. In 2007 I left a 19 year marriage, quit my teaching job, and tried (unsuccessfully) running a restaurant. Now I'm finally pursuing my dream of being a full-time entertainer.
