Plot Summary	A live sketch comedy troupe in 1983, years before they became a TV sitcom, Swordfish played many theaters and nightclubs during the 1980s. By 1985, they began shooting their live performances on location for television. Two of the recurring characters, Alice & Marvin Melnick (Colleen Hayden and Bob Herzberg, respectively), became so popular that, by 1991, the Swordfish cast and series transformed into a TV sitcom about the Melnicks. There were many personnel changes over the years but, throughout the 1990s and until the end of its run on TV, several of the original core cast members returned for good. The show aired its final episode in 1998. There is currently talk of a 25th anniversary reunion special in 2008.
