Plot Summary	What do you do when justice fails? Can a young woman, acting alone, force the scales of justice to reckon with the wrongs committed against her? Set in a small rural town in the South, this action packed thriller chronicles the story of Abby Dalton and her path to justice. Abby has just graduated from college and is set to attend veterinary school in the fall. Her father, a county sheriff, was killed on duty five years earlier, the crime still unsolved. Abby is home spending the summer with her mother Sarah Dalton and her young sister, Katie. To support the family, and help pay for Abby’s schooling, Sarah operates a local combination bar and restaurant. Abby returns home one day to find her mother Sarah dead from a brutal assault. The police eventually track down three suspects, the Shealy brothers, Zack, “T-Bone”, and Ike. But due to a technicality concerning the evidence, the charges are dropped and the three brothers are released. Abby and her sister Katie are then constantly harassed and threatened by the three brothers. Her father and mother murdered, the police and the courts once again failing to protect the victims and dispense justice, Abby decides that she has no option but to proceed with her own plans for revenge. Abby turns for help to a grizzled ex-Army Special Forces vet, Ed Popindopolus. At first reluctant, and skeptical of Abby’s commitment, Ed finally decides to help Abby. Ed later introduces Abby to his martial arts expert friend, American Indian “T.J” Caulder. Together, Ed and T.J. teach Abby not only how to handle a gun and defend herself, they harden her into a fearless warrior. Alone and abandoned by those she thought she could count on the most, Abby sets out on her path of revenge against the three brothers. Abby triumphs over the three brothers and discovers a terrible secret about the mystery of her father’s unsolved murder.
