Plot Summary	Hank is the bitter prospector turned crook who pits gold miners against a family who gave up everything to move to California to seek their fortune. He tells misleading stories to the miners which eventually gets the father of the family killed. The mother eldest son and daughter trick Hank onto some slippery rocks which is next to a canyon wall where echoes can be heard for miles. They force him to confess his intentions in exchange for a rope to help him to safety. The miners overhear the exchange and dish out a little of their own justice.
