The actor known as P. David Miller was born and raised in the very mean streets (The Mission) of beautiful and culturally diversified San Francisco. Joined the United States Marine Corps and saw the world in all its glory, its natural wonders, the occasional horrors and all its splendor. He came to Los Angeles/Hollywood in 1998 ... Moreto pursue a career in Live Action/Physical Special Effects right after the Marine Corps not knowing anyone in the business.
He fell into becoming an Actor along the way after taking a dare and listening to friends who were actors speaking of the craft, the joys and the challenges of being an actor in Hollywood and New York. He then started taking acting classes with the little known but, entirely wonderful acting class headed by F.J. Rio and Scott Albright called, "The CORE Class" in October 1999 while still pursuing a career in special effects. After three and one-half years of continual classes, workshops, weekend intensives, seminars, reading volumes of assorted books pertaining to "The Craft," he started to venture out into the unknown territories of Hollywood.
As an actor, he has been in a large number of productions that encompassed theater, feature films, independent films, student films, television, commercials, inter-net, print and voice over since July 2002. He still continues training at The Sal Landi Studio with Sal Landi and at The Steve Eastin Studio with Steve Eastin. He attributes the volume of work to discipline, the love of being an actor, accepting challenges, being courageously imaginative, embracing the creative process and finally, not afraid to have fun and playing "make believe" no matter what the story entails or what the character is. While he still does special effects (As Paul D. Miller, the body of work in that specialty is very extensive as well.) as his some what full time occupation he is also very capable as a stunt performer, technical adviser for weapons and military tactics/protocol and on occasion, a writer.
P. David Miller has been over heard as saying that he feels very fortunate, gracious and blessed that he has been allowed the opportunities to be an actor, special effects coordinator/technician and stunt player in Hollywood. To him, this entertaining path has been such a strange, momentous, wondrous, eye opening journey and this is where he best belongs in every aspect of his life.
