Lizza Monet Morales is a notable entertainment and fashion reporter as well as a lifestyle consultant. She is not only a native Angelino, who speaks fluent Spanish, but conversational Japanese as well. Picking up her first copy of Variety and the Hollywood Reporter at the age of 8, Lizza immediately fell in love with the entertainment industry and hasn't stopped reading her "industry bibles" since.
As a teenager , she quickly made a name for herself while interning in t... Morehe Casting Department at Paramount Studios. Not one to shy away from hard work, Lizza started in the mailroom of ICM as an Agent Trainee shortly after graduating from Middlebury College. Aside from studying at Middlebury, one of the most prestigious liberal-arts colleges in America, she did part of her undergraduate work at the Monterey Institute of International Studies and Harvard University.
At the age of 23, she opened her own entertainment publicity firm, Creative Talent Group (CTG). She represented the Who's Who in fashion and "Young Hollywood" for 4 and 1/2 years before selling her company. During her stint as a publicist, it didn't take long before earning a reputation for picking out "the next big thing" in both products and performers way ahead of the curve. As a result, she was sought out as a "trend expert" for various media outlets and private companies. This is what ultimately launched her reporting and hosting career. In spite of already having a B.A. in Political Science, with a double minor in Economics and Japanese, she decided to go back to school to build a solid journalistic foundation. At UCLA, she completed both the Print and TV Journalism certificate programs.
Lizza can now be seen reporting from either the red carpet, various closed sets, fashion shows, press junkets for up and coming projects or out-and-about town at the hottest locations. She has been on-air for Access Hollywood, Telemundo, EXTRA, Celebrity Justice and The TV-Guide Channel among others. In addition, she has reported for Us Weekly, People Magazine, Swagtime.com and as a featured columnist in Item Magazine.
A natural-born entrepreneur, she has a knack for turning an idea, into an innovative concept and then quickly turning it into reality. Case in point, she designed Spanish 101, a sassy woman's t-shirt line, on a whim back in 2003. The ultra-soft fabric, unique designs and quirky bilingual sayings, catapulted the collection into the limelight in a matter of weeks. Among the various celebrity fans are Jennifer Lopez, Janet Jackson, Gwen Stefani and Christina Aguilera. Spanish 101 was also featured in numerous magazines and television shows. Ultimately, it sold-out, off of the racks at chic boutiques like Intuition, Lisa Kline and Metro Park.
When not working, you can catch Lizza either salsa dancing, traveling, volunteering, tinkering with a new gadget or developing her next endeavor. Less
