I have been offered a once in a lifetime opportunity to go to Los Angeles, California and pursue my dream as a Hollywood actress. Lawrence Folgo* is the founder and CEO of Actors Journey. Actors Journey are a group of South Florida’s young actors and actresses take a trip to LA to perform for Hollywood’s biggest managers and agents. Lawrence take twenty young hopefuls to LA in hopes of finding them representation to make their dreams come true. Lawrence has been in the business for over fifty years and has many upper level connections. Lawrence created a group of Professional Industry leaders developing Acting careers. The Professional Actor begins with acting in their local area in Theater, Student Films, College Plays and participating in films that are shot in their local area. When the Actor is ready for a Professional Career to work in major roles for Television and Feature films, most of them are cast and developed in Los Angeles, California. Hollywood is the Mecca of film making in the World. ACTORS JOURNEY prepares you for Commercials, Prime Time Series, Soap Operas, Cable and Network Shows. My name is Latoya Hill, and as a member of this very ambitious group of young actors we are asked to raise money to go on the trip of a lifetime. We are responsible for raising our share of the trip which is $2500.00 to go and stay for one entire week at the Oakwood Apartments* in LA where we will train night and day to put on a fabulous showcase. She was born and raised in the relatively small town of Albany, Georgia on June 17, 1983. As the oldest of six children, she spent a lot of her time putting on plays and talent shows for her family growing up. She realized she had a passion for acting when she participated in her first grade school play. She moved to Miami after high school and started taking some college courses at Miami Dade College. It wasn’t until she turned twenty years old, that she decided to finally pursue her acting career. She has been writing since the age of twelve when she was first introduced to poetry and literature in her seventh grade English class. Since then she has really taken an interest in her hobby and written over forty unpublished poems and short stories. LaToya has done featured roles local independent films and she also done work on major motion pictures. She is currently attending Everest College where she will be attaining an Associate’s degree in Criminal Justice in the spring of 2012. LaToya plans on moving to Los Angeles, California in the spring of 2012 to further her career in the performing arts and Bachelor’s Criminal Justice and minor in Psychology. LaToya plays the role of Maria in “The Turn Around”. Maria is Snider’s comical aunt who has difficulty finding a good man. She has a fetish for online dating through popular social sites.
