Summary
In this colorful rock musical, a wild haired eccentric physicist, Professor Finkledink, holds a public demonstration of an actual time machine which he believes he has perfected. Two young reporters approach the machine and examine it closely while asking questions about it. Something goes wrong and there's an explosion. When the smoke clears, the two reporters are gone. They suddenly appear in a night club somewhere in 1920s Chicago, then in a futuristic city under some kind of benign dictatorship and become involved in a dispute that forces them to try to bring peace to these people lest they take sides and allow civil war to break out.
