I've been an avid film fan my entire life, to say the least. So much that I grew no longer content with merely watching them as a completed product. I wanted to be a part of the process, but which part was for me? A childhood full of role-playing and pretending to be the heroes I most admired held the answer to that question.
Thankfully in High School I met up with other who shared my strong love of Filmmaking. We made countless skits and spoofs any chance we could. Some we look ... Moreback on now with a nostalgic sense of pride, others with only a cringe. That's how it goes though. The important part was that all of this was feeding the fire inside.
By the time I made it to college, I had already been a musician since Elementary School when I picked up a trumpet as an excuse to get out of my regular class duties and head down to Instrument Lessons. This led to me picking up both guitar and bass guitar in Jr. High and perfomring in several different groups with good friends as well as new friends i'd made through the connection of music. So in college I minored in music for a time which connected me with the acting program that held many of its classes in the same building.
By the time I got to my Senior year, I had already taken a couple Film courses, so I decided to take the plunge into acting. Unfortunately I was only able to be a part of it for one semester, as I had credits in other areas that needed to be fulfilled before I could graduate.
After graduating, I joined up with a Hard Rock band signed to an independent record label out of Los Angeles. We toured the country for a while before finally disbanding in mid 2008.
In between tours I had worked at a Military Base in Natick, MA. This eventually served as the gateway for my move to the great city of New York, Manhattan to be exact, via a day job editing documents for a Mechanical Engineering Company. Since being here, I've been able to collaborate with my many Film School graduate friends who reside in the area as well. I'd worked with them before while I was living in New Hampshire, operating the boom mic, acting, whatever opportunity I could get my hands on. Now in NYC, I've gotten to act in a couple more roles, as well as do soundtrack work for "King For A Day", a project I also performed in. Even further, I also acted, recorded music for, and tested my video editing skills on "Coyote Ugly 2: Boys' Night Out", an improv/spoof/sequel to the original theatrical film.
Currently I'm still working as an Editor to keep money in my pockets as I perform in my current rock band and continue the search for more acting opportunities as they appear. Less
