In the late 1990's I studied production at World Wide Television News and I began my career with the same organization. To date I have 14 years experience as Producer/Director & DOP in TV News and Documentaries. I am a professional trainer/instructor in all areas of news and media and have taught at Karachi University while serving as a visiting faculty member and regular guest speaker at several other educational institutions worldwide.

During my time at WTN, my work efforts ... Morewere seen globally. My work has made major contributions to world media giants including BBC, CNN, CBS, FOX NEWS & Al-Jazeera. I covered many breaking news, documentaries and soft stories for these TV channels in Pakistan and Afghanistan.

In May 2002, I joined Geo News as part of the core team that launched Pakistan's first private news channel. Being a part of GEO, I was involved in documenting some of the best news coverage not only in Pakistan but across the world. During my time with GEO I traveled to Baghdad to cover the "2nd Gulf War," to the USA for their Presidential Election, to Sri Lanka to cover their Tsunami, and to Kashmir for earthquake coverage. I also covered elections in Iran, Afghanistan and United Kingdom, making several wartime visits to Afghanistan. I diligently covered Benazir Bhutto's arrival in Pakistan and traveled with her on board, remaining on this assignment till her assassination.

Also my documentary Indus Delta received the best documentary Award at the 46th Monte Carlo Television Festival, the biggest television festival in the world. In 2010, I produced and directed "A FAR-OFF CRY," filmed in Karachi, Pakistan, It was accepted as an "Official Selection" in 15 International Film Festivals and it won 6 awards including Best Documentary, Director's Choice Silver Award and the Walt Ratterman Humanitarian Award. "A FAR-OFF CRY" also qualified for Oscar consideration.
