Every since I was a young child I always said I wanted to be an actress and make movies. It is still a passion I have today. However, over the years I can not tell you how many times I've been told no, or you'll never make it your terrible. Now for the longest time I gave it up because of all these negative comments. Even after I did a couple plays. Now when I got into college, Prairie State College in particular, I found that love again. My english professor, Justin Vidovic, helped spark that flame again and made me believe in me. He offered to help start a drama club. Initially it was inbetween my classes so I didn't have to worry about someone coming up and saying that no you can't do that, because they didn't know I was doing it. During one of the cold reading practices Justin just stopped there and said if that was a real audition I would have won the role, and had a lot of talent. I can not tell you how much that one little line gave me the hope and courage I needed to get back into it. I from then have been involved with two productions myself (semesters) and in a new school. I also changed my major to communication:filmmaking and multimedia sense. I had got that passion back and finally the encouragement of my family that wasn't exactly there before. They seen that I can do what I work hard for and always wanted to do. I guess I am here to say don't worry about what others say. Things may not work out exactly as planned or at the time in which you hope that they will happen but they work out the way they are supposed to work out. Never let someone tell you that you cannot follow your dream. Always go for it even if it scares you to try, because the thing that scares you is the thing that makes you stronger. It takes a strong person to face that initial fear, and if you can face that fear you are on the way to success. Keep it up and go head strong into that situation.
